Know Your Congressional District
Virginia's 6th Congressional District is the size of New Jersey and as geographically and culturally diverse as a small state.
The district comprises four distinct regions, each with its own history, socio-economic realities, cultures, and traditions that shape the needs and perspectives of the people residing there. Across the district, however, we find a set of common values. People help their neighbors in times of need. People protect the land and water that support livelihoods and draw visitors. People value independence. People are conscious of the legacy they are leaving their children and grandchildren.
Anyone representing this area in Congress needs to be in touch with communities and voters all across the district. That’s why Pete is touring the whole district to hear from everyone. As Pete and his team travel the district, we will post fun facts about the four regions. Check back here to learn about the people and places that share representation in Congress with you!

While the Shenandoah Valley is the largest part of the district, comprising seven counties and six cities, it is essential to acknowledge the full social, economic, and cultural diversity of the region. Even within the Shenandoah Valley, we find communities with diverse needs.
